G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 7, 2022, Mr. Mackin requested, “… all documents regarding recommendations to other employers of Solicitor …” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Mackin petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2483 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town intends on providing a written response to Mr. Mackin. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Mr. Mackin with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Mackin may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Mackin is advised that to obtain a response to a public records request from the Town, the request must be forwarded to this email address townclerk@weymouth.ma.us.
