Smith Superintendent of Schools East Longmeadow Public Schools 180 Maple Street East Longmeadow, MA 01028 Dear Superintendent Smith: I have received the petition of Lydus Grey appealing the response of the East Longmeadow Public Schools (School) to requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 21, 2022, Mr. Grey made six requests for emails from named individuals for specified time periods, along with external job postings. Previous Petition and Appeal These requests, were the subject of a previous petition and appeal. See SPR22/2239 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (October 7, 2022) and SPR22/2242 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (October 17, 2022). In my October 17th determination, I found that the School had not met its burden in responding to Mr. Grey’s request, and I ordered the School to provide a response. Subsequently, the School responded on October 28, 2022, indicating that it would provide further responses under separate cover. Having received no further response from the School, Mr. Grey appealed, and this case was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that an attorney for the School provided supplemental responses to Mr. Grey and this office on November 14, November 17, and November 18, 2022. As this appeal was opened based on the School’s October 28th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Grey may further appeal the substantive nature of the School’s November 14th, 17th and 18th responses within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
