The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records November 30, 2022 SPR22/2643 Andrew M. Fuqua, Esq. General Counsel and Records Access Officer Cambridge Health Alliance 1493 Cambridge Street Cambridge, MA 02139 Dear Attorney Fuqua: I have received the petition of David Petralia, of Clean Harbors, appealing the response of the Cambridge Public Health Commission (Commission) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 14, 2022, Mr. Petralia requested “… copy of the contract(s) that dictate the terms, service locations, and pricing for the pickup and disposal of Cambridge Health Alliance’s and its affiliates hazardous and medical waste (including sharps).” The Commission responded on November 15, 2022. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Petralia petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2643, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Commission provided Mr. Petralia with a response dated November 21, 2022. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Commission’s November 15th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Petralia may appeal the substantive nature of the Commission’s November 21st response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: David Petralia One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
