The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records November 21, 2022 SPR22/2674 Ben Kaufman Town Clerk Town of Brookline 333 Washington Street Brookline, MA 02445-6853 Dear Mr. Kaufman I have received the petition of Mr. Jay Zipursky appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Brookline (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 30, 2022, Mr. Zipursky requested “…the total and complete student record for [a named student]…” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Zipursky petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2674, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the Town intends on providing a written response to Mr. Zipursky. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Mr. Zipursky with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Zipursky may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
