Deree Town Clerk Town of Weymouth 75 Middle Street Weymouth, MA 02189 Dear Kathleen Deree: I have received the petitions of Gerard Mackin appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Weymouth (Town) to requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 6, 2022, November 8, 2022 and November 8, 2022, respectively, Mr. Mackin requested the following records: [1] … all documents regarding payments made since 5-2-2022 to [a named person] or any other person or entity situated at [named address] providing embroidery services or materials to Weymouth departments or employees [and] [a]ll purchase orders, invoices and other documents related to items … [and] [a]ll documents showing compliance with town Charter and MGL c 30B regarding such payments and purchases. [2] … all documents relating to actions including communications taken by [a named person] in response police use of witness statements/my complaint about [a named person] on 9-16-22. [3] … all documents provided to Town employees as to how to protect pensions by complying with the general Laws and Town Ordinances. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Mackin petitioned this office and these appeals, SPR22/2716, SPR22/2717, and SPR22/2718, were opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of these appeals, it remains unclear whether the Town has provided a response.
