The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 13, 2022 SPR22/2750 Allison Mondello Primary Records Access Officer Massachusetts Department of State Police 470 Worcester Road Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Ms. Mondello: I have received the petition of Attorney J. Scott Lauer appealing the nonresponse of the Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 8, 2022, Mr. Lauer requested all footage (body camera and/or dash camera) relative to a motor vehicle stop of a particular vehicle in breakdown lane of I-93 southbound in Milton, MA. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Lauer petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2750, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Lauer with a response dated December 1, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Lauer may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: J. Scott Lauer, Esq.
