The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 22, 2022 SPR22/2849 Laura Segal Chief of Staff Boston Emergency Medical Services 785 Albany Street Boston, MA 02118 Dear Ms. Segal: I have received the petition of Shannon Dooling appealing the response of the City of Boston, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 6, 2022, Ms. Dooling requested, “…the time of day that the unit(s) were dispatched by the EMS telecommunicator” of a specified incident. The EMS responded on December 12, 2022. Unsatisfied with the EMS’ response, Ms. Dooling petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2849, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the EMS provided a further response to Ms. Dooling on December 19, 2022. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the EMS’ December 12th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Dooling may appeal the substantive nature of the EMS’ response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
