The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 28, 2022 SPR22/2865 Tara Douglas, Esq. Assistant General Counsel Board of Registration in Medicine 178 Albion Street, Suite 330 Wakefield, MA 01880 Dear Attorney Douglas: I have received the petition of Colman Herman appealing the response of the Board of Registration in Medicine (Board) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 19, 2022, Mr. Herman requested, “… the disciplinary files for [identified physicians].” The Board responded on December 5, 2022 and December 14, 2022. Unsatisfied with the responses, Mr. Herman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2865, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Board provided a further response on December 16, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Board’s December 5th and December 14th responses, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Herman may appeal the substantive nature of the Board’s December 16th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Colman Herman One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
