Lawton, of the Law Office Richard J. Lawton, appealing the nonresponse of the Town of West Bridgewater (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 29, 2022, Attorney Lawton requested “…complete and unredacted copy of legal opinion rendered by either Town Counsel or outside legal counsel relative to the matter of Meadow Wood LLC and its proposed Subdivision Plan…” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Lawton petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/0095, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided Attorney Lawton with a response dated January 20, 2023. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. It is my understanding that Attorney Lawton has appealed the Town’s January 20, 2023 response resulting in a new appeal which is currently opened as SPR23/0201.
