Tivnan Drive West Boylston, MA 01583 Dear Mr. Gould: I have received the petition of Daniel Jaffe appealing the response of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 13, 2022, Mr. Jaffe requested various policies, procedures, memoranda, regulations, and other records regarding the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office. The Office provided a response on December 28, 2022. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Jaffe petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/0108, was opened as a result. Based upon correspondence between Mr. Jaffe and an Office representative, it is my understanding that the Office intends on providing a further response to Mr. Jaffe. Accordingly, the Office is ordered to provide Mr. Jaffe with said response in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten business days. A copy of the response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Jaffe may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
