The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records February 2, 2023 SPR23/0135 Lieutenant John Geary City of Lynn Lynn Police Department 300 Washington Street Lynn, MA 01902 Dear Lieutenant Geary: I have received the petition of Adam Bradley appealing the nonresponse of the Lynn Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 15, 2022, Mr. Bradley requested a copy of all records, documents, reports, notes, dispatch logs and reports and interstate agency records related to a specifically identified search. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Bradley petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/0135, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Bradley with a response dated February 1, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Bradley may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s February 1st response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Adam Bradley One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
