Middlesex District Attorney’s Office 15 Commonwealth Avenue Woburn, MA 01801 Dear Attorney Horn: I have received the petition of Yisbert Lara appealing the response of the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 28, 2022, Mr. Lara requested “a complete copy of any pre- trial and trial testimony from . . . the commonwealth’s medical examiner on the matter of [a specified case].” The Office responded on January 18, 2023, denying the request. Unsatisfied with the Office’s response, Mr. Lara appealed, and this case was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that the Office provided a supplemental response by mail to Mr. Lara and this office on March 9, 2023. As this appeal was opened based on the office’s January 18th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. If unresolved issues remain, Mr. Lara may further appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s March 9th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
