The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records March 27, 2023 SPR23/0499 Courtney Almeida, Esq. Assistant District Attorney Bristol County District Attorney’s Office 888 Purchase Street New Bedford, MA 02740 Dear Attorney Almeida: I have received the petition of Richard J. Shea, Esq. appealing the response of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 24, 2022, Attorney Shea requested, grand jury minutes, police reports and witness statements regarding a specifically identified matter. The Office responded on March 10, 2023. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided a further response to Attorney Shea on March 24, 2023. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s March 10th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Shea may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s March 24th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Richard J.
