The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records March 30, 2023 SPR23/0529 Seah Levy Records Access Officer City of Cambridge Office of the City Solicitor 795 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02139 Dear Ms. Levy: I have received the petition of David Nathanson, Esq., of Wood & Nathanson, LLP, appealing the response of the City of Cambridge (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 7, 2023, Attorney Nathanson requested “copies of any police log, computer aided dispatch (CAD) sheets, police reports, dispatch records, or other documents relating to Remington Street . . . on February 27, 2023.” On March 20, 2023, the City responded. Unsatisfied with the response, Attorney Nathanson petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/0529, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City intends to provide a further response to Attorney Nathanson. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Attorney Nathanson with said response, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
