The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records April 13, 2023 SPR23/0611 Jessica L. Ellis, Esq. Assistant General Counsel for Public Affairs Records Access Officer Division of Occupational Licensure 1000 Washington Street Boston, MA 02118 Dear Attorney Ellis: I have received the petition of Luke Stanton appealing the nonresponse of the Division of Occupational Licensure (Division) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 22, 2023, Mr. Stanton requested, “... a copy of all the records pertaining to [a specific] ... case ... including but not limited to all correspondence received by ... attorney ... all reports filed by [a named individual] all votes taken by the Board.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Stanton petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/0611, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Division provided Mr. Stanton with a response dated April 12, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Division’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Stanton may appeal the substantive nature of the Division’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Luke Stanton One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
