The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records May 18, 2023 SPR23/1041 Susan Schuler Administrative Manager Hopkinton Police Department 74 Main Street Hopkinton, MA 01748 Dear Ms. Schuler: I have received the petition of Louisa Moller of WBZ-TV appealing the nonresponse of the Hopkinton Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 2, 2023, Ms. Moller requested the following records: [1] All emails between [named officers] containing the words “SRO”, “investigation” and “School”[;] [2] All texts between [named officers] from 2021 to present[;] [3] All texts between [named officers][;] [4] Record of all investigations or internal complaints into school resource officers at the Hopkinton Police Department[;] [5] Record of all investigations into [named officer] during his entire career at Hopkinton Police Department[;] [6] All emails between Massachusetts State Police investigators, the Middlesex District Attorneys Office and [named officer] from 2022 to present[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Moller petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/1041, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the Department provided a response on May 17, 2023 to Ms. Moller’s request. Where the Department provided a written response to Ms. Moller’s request, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Moller may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
