Eaton Town Clerk Town of Needham 1471 Highland Avenue Needham, MA 02492 Dear Ms. Eaton: I have received the petition of Todd Wallack, of WBUR, appealing the response of the Town of Needham (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 6, 2023, Mr. Wallack requested “a copy of a settlement agreement between the town and [a named individual], including the amount of the settlement.” Previous Appeal This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR23/0878 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (May 11, 2023). In my May 11th determination, I ordered the Town to provide Mr. Wallack with a response to his request. On May 17, 2023, the Town responded. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. Wallack petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/1047, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided a further response dated May 24, 2023 to Mr. Wallack. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s May 17th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Wallack may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s May 24th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
