Keavany, Jr., of Christopher, Hays, Wojcik & Mavricos, LLP., appealing the nonresponse of the Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 13, 2023, Attorney Keavany requested the following records: [1] All documents concerning, or memorializing communications between any person and the Massachusetts State Police, including but not limited to [named individual], concerning [named individual] during the period March 1, 2023 to present[;] [2] All documents concerning, or memorializing communications between any employee of the Massachusetts POST Commission and the Massachusetts State Police, including but not limited to [named individual], concerning [named individual] during the period March 1, 2023 to present[;] [3] All documents concerning, or memorializing communications between any employee of the City of Springfield and the Massachusetts State Police, including but not limited to [named individual], concerning [named individual] during the period March 1, 2023 to present[;] [4] All documents concerning, or memorializing communications between any employee of the Springfield Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police, including but not limited to [named individual], concerning [named individual] during the period March 1, 2023 to present[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Keavany petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/1140, was opened as a result. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
