Acting Superintendent Wayland Public Schools 41 Cochituate Road Wayland, MA 01778 Dear Dr. Graham: I have received the petition of Edna Vassilovski appealing the response of the Wayland Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 25, 2023, Ms. Vassilovski requested: …all emails to or from the School Committee (or any individual members of the School Committee) referencing [an identified person] (including various ways [the identified person] may be mentioned such as [identified names] and attachments to such emails and any emails from the [identified person] (and attachments) to the School Committee (or any individual members of the School Committee) over the past two months. I’d also like any emails between an [identified person] and the School Committee (or individual members) during that same time period. Prior Appeal The requested records were the subject of a prior appeal. See SPR23/1059 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (Supervisor) (May 23, 2023). On April 26, 2023, the School acknowledged Ms. Vassilovski’s April 25th request, stating, “[w]e are in the process of determining how many potentially responsive records there are for this request, and will reply to you within 10 days of your request.” On May 18, 2023, after not receiving any further response or responsive records, Ms. Vassilovski petitioned the Supervisor, and the prior appeal, SPR23/1059, was opened. Subsequent to the opening of SPR23/1059, I learned that the School intends on providing a written response to Ms. Vassilovski. Current Appeal On June 2, 2023, Ms. Vassilovski petitioned the Supervisor again, and the current appeal was opened. In her petition, Ms. Vassilovski indicates that she received the email records from the School; however, no attachments were provided. Subsequent to the opening of the current appeal, June 11, 2023, the School provided Ms. Vassilovski with the balance of the requested records, including the attachments to the email records. In Dr. Graham’s June 11th response and production of the records, he states, “[t]he attached documents reflect all of the attachments connected to emails that were responsive to your initial request.” Conclusion Accordingly, where the School has provided the records responsive to Ms. Vassilovski request, I will consider this administrative appeal closed.
