G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv). As required by law, it is my understanding that the Department furnished a copy of this petition to the requestor. G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv). On June 16, 2023, Jennifer Melendez requested, “all copies of police reports for 2019 and 2023 involving [a named individual].” In an email dated June 22, 2021, Ms. Melendez states, “I am all set with the records. Thank you. I… don’t need them anymore.” Conclusion In light of the above, it is unnecessary to opine on the Department’s petition to charge for time spent segregating or redacting responsive records, and I will consider this case closed.
