Hennessey, Esq. appealing the nonresponse of the City of Worcester (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 12, 2023, Attorney Hennessey requested, “[a]ll statistics of the Worcester Police Bureau of Professional Standards ... [and] all records relating to internal affairs complaints against Worcester Police Department officers between January 1, 2010 to the present date.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Hennessey petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/1559, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided Attorney Hennessey with a response dated July 18, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
