Hassett Drive Medford, MA 02155 Dear Ms. Spencer: I have received the petition of Joseph Viglione appealing the nonresponse of the City of Medford (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 14, 2023, Mr. Viglione requested “…the current contracts between the City/issuing authority and cable provider Comcast and Verizon.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Viglione petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/1779, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided Mr. Viglione with a response dated August 4, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Viglione may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s August 4th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
