General Counsel Department of Labor Standards 19 Staniford Street, 2nd Floor Boston, MA 02114 Dear Attorney Rose: I have received the petition of Laura Crimaldi, of the Boston Globe, appealing the response of the Department of Labor Standards (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 24, 2023, Ms. Crimaldi requested, “... a copy of any/all records concerning the injury of MBTA [named] employee near Revere Beach Station on April 13, 2023.” The Department responded on July 28, 2023. Unsatisfied with the response, Ms. Crimaldi petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/1898, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided a further response on August 11, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s July 28th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Crimaldi may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s August 11th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
