See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 26, 2023, Attorney Codagnone requested: [1.] Any and all records including witness statements given in connection with any investigation of criminal activity of [an identified individual]; [2.] Any and all records containing references to [an identified individual]; [3.] Any and all correspondence to, from, or referencing [an identified individual]; [4.] Any and all reports or records pertaining to investigations or interviews prior to, during, or after the investigation of the death of [an identified individual]. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Codagnone petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/1867, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it is unclear whether a response has been provided. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Attorney Codagnone with a response to the request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law, and its Regulations within 10 business days.
