The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 12, 2023 SPR23/2061 Robert Chambers Vice President for Strategic Engagement and Chief of Staff Office of the President Massachusetts College of Art and Design 621 Huntington Avenue Boston, MA 02115 Dear Mr. Chambers: I have received the petition of Christopher O’Donnell appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (College) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 13, 2023, Mr. O’Donnell requested the following records: [1] The name, title and salary of all full-time non-unit profession (NUP) and full- time non-unit classified (NUC) employees at MassArt employed on July 1, 2023. [2] The name, rank and salary of all full-time MSCA bargaining unit employees at MassArt employed on July 1, 2023. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. O’Donnell petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/2061, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the College has provided a response. Accordingly, the College is ordered to provide Mr. O’Donnell with a response to his request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. O’Donnell may appeal the substantive nature of the College’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
