The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 27, 2023 SPR23/2200 Philip Crohan Public Access Officer Massachusetts Convention Center Authority 415 Summer Street Boston, MA 02210 Dear Mr. Crohan: I have received the petition of the Boston Accountability Network appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (Authority) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 28, 2023, the requestor sought the following records: [1.] A list of public relations and media relations consultants and/or firms paid by MCCA over last 7 years, including their annual and total compensation. [2.] 2023 Calendar of the Executive Director[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/2200, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Authority intends on providing a written response to the requestor. Accordingly, the Authority is ordered to provide the requestor with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the Authority’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
