Herman appealing the nonresponse of the University of Massachusetts Building Authority (Authority) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 30, 2023, Mr. Herman requested “[c]ommunications related to UMass Dartmouth recently vacating a downtown New Bedford building that once was a department store.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Herman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/2226, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Authority provided Mr. Herman with a response dated September 21, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Authority’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
