Primary Records Access Officer Assistant General Counsel Department of Children and Families 600 Washington Street, 6th Floor Boston, MA 02111 Dear Attorney Treat: I have received the petition of Christopher Coll appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Children and Families (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 30, 2023, Mr. Coll requested the following: [1.] November 1, 1984- Intake [an identified form number] [2.] November 6, 1984- Intake [two identified form numbers] [3.] October 7, 1985- Intake [two identified form numbers] [4.] March 19, 1987- Intake [two identified form numbers] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Coll petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/2310, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Coll with a response dated October 3, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Coll may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
