Associate Legal Counsel Middlesex Sheriff’s Office 12 Gill Street, Suite 4700 Woburn, MA 01801 Dear Attorney Patel: I have received the petition of Christopher Coll appealing the nonresponse of the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 30, 2023, Mr. Coll requested the following records: [1.] All medical records under my name[;] [2.] All mental health records under my name[;] [3.] All disciplinary reports and tickets under my name[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Coll petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/2311, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the Office intends on providing a written response to Mr. Coll. Accordingly, the Office is ordered to provide Mr. Coll with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Coll may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
