Duclos, appealing the response of the Department of Correction (Department) to his request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 18, 2023, Mr. Duclos requested “Inmate Benefit Fund expenses from the Maintenance Department at MCI-Norfolk for the month of August.” On September 26, 2023, the Department responded by providing a responsive record with redactions. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Duclos petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/2449, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Duclos’ request with a further response sent on October 17, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s September 26th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
