Christiansen, Ph.D. appealing the response of the Town of Milton (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 10, 2023, Dr. Christiansen requested the following records: [1.] Records referred to in the Select Board Milton Landing Committee minutes from its 9/14/23 meetings which minutes state: “Update on fence repairs the Committee has received complaints about the deterioration of the fence along to the wharf[”]… i.e., records of the “complaints” made to the Committee. [2.] Records of the Select Board Milton Landing Committee votes to repair the fence. [3.] Records of the … requests for bids … quotes, and … invoices and other documents showing the cost to repair or replace the fence at Milton Landing. [4.] Records that show the authority given to the Milton Landing Committee and/or its Chair to enter into a contract to build or repair a fence on behalf of the town. Prior Appeal The requested records were the subject of a prior appeal. See SPR23/2543 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (October 25, 2023). In my October 25th determination, I learned that the Town had provided a response to Dr. Christiansen on October 25, 2023. Consequently, I closed the appeal. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Dr. Christiansen petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/2550, was opened as a result. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s October 25th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
