See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 25, 2023, Mr. Raymond requested: [1.] Copies of any challenges, reconsideration requests, complaints, or other similar communications from members of the public regarding materials in the collection of your municipality’s library system to library staff or administration, broadly construed, between 1 January 2021 and the present day. [2.] Copies of any challenges, reconsideration requests, complaints or other similar communications from members of the public regarding materials in the collection of your municipality’s library system or municipality’s schools to municipal administrative staff and certain elected and/or appointed officials, broadly construed, between 1 January 2021 and the present day. [3.] Copies of any challenges, reconsideration requests, complaints or other similar communications from members of the public regarding materials in the collection of the library in a school, in classrooms and/or classroom libraries, or other materials and/or collections of materials, broadly construed, to school administration and/or staff between 1 January 2021 and the present day. Prior Appeal This request was the subject of a prior appeal. See SPR23/2506 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (November 6, 2023). In my November 6th determination, it was my understanding that the City intended to provide a further response. On November 6, 2023, the City responded and provided a fee estimate. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided a further response on November 7, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s November 6th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
