The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 5, 2023 SPR23/2846; SPR23/2850 Leo Mercado Deputy Town Clerk Records Access Officer Town of Acton 472 Main Street Acton, MA 01720 Dear Mr. Mercado: I have received the petitions of Michelle Efendi appealing the nonresponses of the Town of Acton (Town) to requests for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). In separate requests, Ms. Efendi requested the following records on October 19, 2023: SPR23/2846 … all records concerning the incident that occurred at the Acton Discovery Museum on July 8, 2022. Records should be from that date until present. The incident may be referred to as a protest and/or an attack. SPR23/2850 … all records concerning Michelle Efendi from June 2022 to present. This includes, but not limited, to ‘Michelle Efendi’ being written fully, partially, implied from previous correspondence, within a picture and/or a social media post. Records should include, but not limited to, all communications ... [and] ... include Acton Police Department records in this request. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Efendi petitioned this office and the following appeals, SPR23/2846 and SPR23/2850 were opened as a result Subsequently, I learned that the Town responded to Ms. Efendi’s requests with a response sent on December 4, 2023. Where these appeals were opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider these administrative appeals closed.
