The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 14, 2023 SPR23/2917 Timothy Cruise, City Clerk City of Brockton Brockton City Hall 45 School Street Boston, MA 02301 Dear Mr. Cruise: I have received the petition of Corey Spaulding appealing the nonresponse of the City of Brockton (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 21, 2023, Ms. Spaulding requested: [1.] Any and all information regarding all federal and state grants the Brockton School District applied for and was awarded for the past 10 years - your agenda material does not include this information. [2.] Please include all staff, personnel, names from Brockton, State and Federal who were/are involved in the grants. [3.] ... any and all copies of invoices, specifics as to what services and goods were applied for and were granted. [4.] ... [the] accounts the grants were deposited into, the name of all staff who had access to the accounts, funds. [5.] ... any and all balances from the accounts these grants were deposited into... Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Spaulding petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/2917, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the City has provided a response.
