Cotter Administrative Services Lieutenant Lynn Police Department 300 Washington Street Lynn, MA 01902 Dear Lieutenant Cotter: I have received the petition of Blue POV (“requestor”) appealing the nonresponse of the Lynn Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 24, 2023, the requestor sought “... all Body Worn Camera footage from ... March 9th 2023 ... [and] all names and badge numbers of all officers involved.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/3010, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided the requestor with a response dated December 20, 2023. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s December 20th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
