Assistant General Counsel Boston Public Health Commission 1010 Massachusetts Avenue Boston, MA 02118 Dear Attorney Pasternack: I have received the petition of Laura Crimaldi, of the Boston Globe, appealing the response of the Boston Public Health Commission (Commission) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 22, 2023, Ms. Crimaldi requested “… data, preferably in .CSV format, of permits for exhumation, disinterment or reinterment issued by the city of Boston since Nov. 17, 2022, through the most recent date available on the day my data is exported. I am requesting all fields in the data that contain non- exempt information, including but not limited to [15 identified fields].” The Commission provided a response on November 28, 2023. Unsatisfied with the Commission’s response, Ms. Crimaldi petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/3054, was opened as a result. In an email dated December 29, 2023, Ms. Crimaldi informed this office that she wishes to withdraw the appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed.
