The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records January 19, 2024 SPR24/0057 Rebecca L. Whitaker Records Access Officer Town of Dalton 462 Main Street Dalton, MA 01226 Dear Ms. Whitaker: I have received the petition of Patrick J. Mason, of The Mason Group, Inc., appealing the response of the Town of Dalton (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 13, 2023, Mr. Mason requested “any and all records maintained by the Town of Dalton Selectman’s Office with regards to [a named individual].” The Town provided a response on November 30, 2023. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. Mason petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/0057, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided Mr. Mason with a further response dated January 10, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s November 30th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Mason may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s January 10th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Patrick J.
