Records Access Officer City of Boston 1 City Hall Square, Room 615 Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received petitions of Michelle Efendi appealing the nonresponse of the City of Boston (City) to requests for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). In two separate requests dated February 1, 2024, Ms. Efendi requested the following records: SPR24/0580 “[A]ll records to and/or from [an identified individual] and [an identified City official] concerning protests at [an identified City official’s] house between February 1, 2022 and February 14, 2022.” SPR24/0583 “[A]ll records to and/or from [an identified individual] and [an identified City official] concerning protests at [an identified City official’s] house between February 1, 2022 and February 14, 2022.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Efendi petitioned this office and these appeals, SPR24/0580 and SPR24/0583, were opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the City intends on providing a written response to Ms. Efendi. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Ms. Efendi with a response to her requests, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office.
