The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records March 12, 2024 SPR24/0597 Janet B. Uttaro Administrative Clerk - Records Falmouth Police Department 750 Main Street Falmouth, MA 02540 Dear Ms. Uttaro: I have received the petition of Andrew Quemere appealing the response of the Falmouth Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 24, 2024, Mr. Quemere requested “all reports from approximately the weeks of June 8-14 and June 15-21, 1998 related to accusations that [a named individual] made harassing telephone calls to young women and girls.” The Department responded on February 27, 2024, providing responsive records in redacted form. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Quemere appealed, and this case was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that the Department provided a supplemental response by email to Mr. Quemere and this office on March 4, 2024. As this appeal was opened based on the Department’s February 24th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. If unresolved issues remain, Mr. Quemere may further appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s March 4th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Andrew Quemere One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
