The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records March 13, 2024 SPR24/0644 Ian P. Kelly, Ed.D. Deputy Superintendent Dedham Public Schools 100 Whiting Avenue Dedham, MA 02026 Dear Dr. Kelly: I have received the petition of Brian Keaney appealing the nonresponse of the Dedham Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 14, 2024, Mr. Keaney requested “... copies of all your executive sessions minutes from the following dates… [thirteen identified dates] and all since July 15, 2020.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Keaney petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/0644, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the School provided a response to Mr. Keaney dated March 11, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the School’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. It is my understanding that Mr. Keaney has appealed the School’s March 11th response resulting in a new appeal, which is currently opened as SPR24/0748. Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Brian Keaney One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
