See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 12, 2024, Mr. Vasque requested, “…the names, applications, resumes, and cover letters of all the individuals that applied for the City of Lawrence, Police Chief position.” On March 13, 2024, the City provided a response. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Mr. Vasque petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/0778, was opened. It is my understanding that the City intends on providing a further response to Mr. Vasque. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Vasque with said response in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Regulations within 10 business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Vasque may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
