The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records April 8, 2024 SPR24/0877 Ben Kaufman Town Clerk Town of Brookline 333 Washington Street, Room 104 Brookline, MA 02445-6853 Dear Mr. Kaufman: I have received the petition of Cornelius F. Sullivan, Esq. appealing the response of the Town of Brookline (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 10, 2024, Attorney Sullivan requested, “…any and all conflict of interest disclosures filed on or after 1-1-20 with the [Town] Select Board or Park and Recreation Commission (Commission) by any one or more of the [ten identified] members of the Ice Rink Task Force[.]” On January 31, 2024, the Town responded to Attorney Sullivan, stating, “[t]hank you for your email, I will look into this request to see what the delay is, and ensure a prompt reply.” After not receiving any further response, on March 23, 2024, Attorney Sullivan petitioned the Supervisor of Records and this appeal was opened. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, on April 8, 2024, the Town provided Attorney Sullivan with a response to his January 10th request. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town not providing any further response since its January 31st response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Sullivan may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s April 8th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Cornelius F.
