General Counsel Newton Public Schools 100 Walnut Street Newtonville, MA 02460 Dear Attorney Grady: I have received the petition of Open Commonwealth (“requestor”) appealing the response of the Newton Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 26, 2024, the requestor sought, “[a]ny and all email communications which contains ‘1367661’ (without quotes) and/or ‘1367661.v1’ (also without quotes) including any attachments.” The School responded on March 28, 2024. Unsatisfied with the School’s response, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/0957, was opened as a result Subsequently, I learned that the School provided a further response on April 4, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the School’s March 28th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s April 4th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
