The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records April 10, 2024 SPR24/0960 Janice E. Thompson, Esq. Assistant City Solicitor City of Worcester – Law Department 455 Main Street, Room 301 Worcester MA, 01608 Dear Attorney Thompson: I have received the petition of Commonwealth Transparency (“requestor”) appealing the response of the Worcester Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 26, 2024, the requestor sought “any and all email communications which contain “1367661” (without quotes) and/or “1367661.v1” (also without quotes) including any attachments. This requests includes but is not limited to email, email-attachments, text messages, calendar entries, voice mail messages and/or physical documents.” The School responded on March 28, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/0960, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the School provided the requestor with a response on April 10, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the School’s March 28, 2024 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s April 10th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Commonwealth Transparency One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
