Director of Public Records Records Access Officer Boston Police Department 1 City Hall Square Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Blue POV (requestor) appealing the response of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66 § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 9, 2023, the requestor sought, “…all requests from all districts and/or each station from the Boston Police Department. With names, ages, sex, and charges…” The Department provided a response on February 23, 2024. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/1038, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided a further response to the requestor on April 11, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s February 23rd response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s April 11th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
