The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records April 26, 2024 SPR24/1087 Mary F. Watson, CMMC Town Clerk Records Access Officer Town of Monson 110 Main Street Monson, MA 01057 Dear Ms. Watson: I have received the petition of Kara Walsh, of WWLP-22News & The CW Springfield, appealing the response of the Town of Monson (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 28, 2024, Ms. Walsh requested the following documents: [1.] ... any and all written communications and documents, including electronic mail, between [identified individuals] from July 1, 2023 through March 28th, 2024. [2.] ... any and all written communication and documents, including electronic mail, between [an identified individual] and members of the Monson School committee that include references to [identified individuals] from July 1, 2023 through March 28th, 2024. The Town responded on April 11, 2024. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Ms. Walsh petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/1087, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided a further response to Ms. Walsh on April 17, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s April 11, 2024 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Walsh may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s April 17th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
