Assistant General Counsel Massachusetts Convention Center Authority 415 Summer Street Boston, MA 02210 Dear Attorney Joyce: I have received the petition of Colman Herman appealing the response of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (Center) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 29, 2024, Mr. Herman requested “… copies of any and all communications between [identified individuals] for the period March 1, 2024 to the present.” The Center responded on April 12, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Herman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/1123, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the Center provided a supplemental response dated April 22, 2024, which Mr. Herman appealed on April 23, 2024. It is my understanding that the Center intends on providing a further response to Mr. Herman. Accordingly, the Center is ordered to provide Mr. Herman with said response in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Regulations within 10 business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Herman may appeal the substantive nature of the Center’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
