The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records April 30, 2024 SPR24/1117 Seah Levy Records Access Officer City of Cambridge Office of the City Clerk 795 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02139 Dear Ms. Levy: I have received the petition of Kim Caranfa, on behalf of Todd J. Bennet, Esq., both of Bennet and Belfort, PC, appealing the response of the City of Cambridge (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66 § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 1, 2024, Attorney Bennett requested 14 categories of records relating to Bostonian Towing Service, Inc. or an identified individual for the time period of January 1, 2020 to the present, including records relating to bids or invitations to bid, correspondence with the City, the names and contact information of clients, and complaints regarding services provided by Bostonian Towing Service, Inc. The City provided a response on February 22, 2024. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Ms. Caranfa petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/1117, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided a further response on April 22, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s February 22nd response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Caranfa may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s April 22nd response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Kim Caranfa Todd J.
