Superintendent Monson Public Schools 1234 Columbus Avenue Roxbury, MA 02120 Dear Superintendent Clarke: I have received the petition of Namrata Sampath, of the Springfield Republican, appealing the response of the Monson Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 29, 2024, Ms. Sampath requested the following records: [1.] [Identified individuals’] letters of resignation from the Monson Public Schools; [2.] Emails to and from [identified individuals] regarding their workplace and off-campus behavior, and their leave and resignations; [3.] Email correspondence between [an identified individual] and other district staff and legal counsel regarding [identified individuals’] paid leaves, in the three months leading up to their resignations; [4.] Email correspondence between [an identified individual] and other employees of the central business office regarding [identified individuals’] recent resignations; [5.] All written or electronic reports of bullying and inappropriate behavior between students, students and teachers, and between staff, teachers and administration. Prior Appeal This request was the subject of a prior appeal. See SPR24/1153 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (May 1, 2024). In my May 1st determination, I learned that the School provided Ms. Sampath with a response dated April 25, 2024. Unsatisfied with the School’s response, Ms. Sampath petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/1327, was opened as a result. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the School’s April 25, 2024 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
