Hassett Drive Medford, MA 02155 Dear Ms. Spencer: I have received the petition of Commonwealth Transparency (“requestor”) appealing the nonresponse of the City of Medford (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 6, 2024, the requestor sought the following records for the time period January 1, 2018 through April 5, 2024: [1] Any and all contracts, communications, or documents of any kind with the following: [identified individuals and addresses;] [2] Any and all payments made to: [identified individuals and addresses;] [3] Any and all conflict of interest documents for: [identified individuals and addresses]. This request includes but is not limited to email, email-attachments, text messages, calendar entries, voicemail messages and/or physical documents.... Claiming to have received no response from the City, the requestor appealed, and this case was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that the City provided a response by email to the requestor and this office on May 6, 2024. As this appeal was opened based on the requestor’s claim that the City had not provided a response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. If unresolved issues remain, the requestor may further appeal the substantive nature of the City’s May 6th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
